Charging the car at a max of three hours using a standard 120 volt outlet provides a driving range equivalent of 87 miles per gallon. The expected overall EPA rating for the Prius will be 49 mpg. Toyota has sold over 1 million Priuses in the U.S. since it first debuted 10 years ago.
